FRANK BARRON, 2014 Board of Governors Award Recipient

FRANK BARRON


 

A previous recipient of the Heart of the community Award in 2001, Frank Barron is the 2014 Board of Governor’s honoree.  He has continued to serve his community in numerous capacities and gives  unselfishly  of his time, his expertise and his finances.

A native Roman, he is a graduate of Darlington School and Washington and Lee University.  After three years in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Rome and began work with Rome Coca-Cola subsequently becoming a Vice-President and Director before his retirement.

Frank and his wife, Anne, are the proud parents of two children and five granddaughters.

According to Dr. J. Paul Ferguson, “Frank has devoted his lifetime of service both to this community, his church and his state.  His role in this community is well documented.  He has balanced these accomplishments while at the same time being a devoted husband, father and grandfather.”
