ESTHER VAUGHN

Esther Vaughn’s resume of community service reflects a woman who believes service to others and “giving back” are the ways to live one’s life.

Graduated from Main High School , received the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degree in Education from Clark College and Atlanta University (now Clark Atlanta University) and the Education Specialist Degree from Jacksonville State University.

Her professional career spans over 37 years with various positions in education, special education and as Principal of Main Elementary.

She and her husband, John are the parents of three adult children.

According to nominators Pam Hamilton and Elaine Snow, “Mrs. Vaughn continues to build strengths “bridges” of relations within our community regardless of race, socio economic or religious back grounds.”
