FORE ORTHODONTICS, 2014 Employee Community Service Award Recipient

FORE ORTHODONTICS

Dr. Lavonne Fore has been in the private practice of orthodontics since 1990.  She has always been active in community service and supports her team 100% for their work on community service projects.

For many years her team has been going to area schools teaching dental hygiene to 2nd and 3rd graders and providing them with tooth brushes and supplies.  During the month of October, National Orthodontic Health Month, a coloring contest is held and ribbons awarded to the winners.  In February, National Dental Health Month, they again visit the schools with fun videos and supplies.

Ashley Bice, “The Tooth Fair” fly’s in from the North Pole each February to visit local preschools and daycares.  Her job is to educate children early about dental health.

Other areas of the community that benefit from the staff at Fore Orthodontics include:

– Floyd County’s Relay for Life, team participation & in 2014 Linda Shepherd will co-chair the event

– Toys for Tots, coordinating collection in local dentist offices

-Rome Area Community Prayer Breakfast
– Baskets for St. Mary’s, Darlington and Unity Christian Schools at their annual fund raising events
– Rome Area Youth for Christ , sponsoring their 40th Anniversary event in 2013.
– Summit Quest Adventures
-North West Georgia Cancer Coalition, Cancer Needs Assessment Group

Dr. Fore has shared the value of community with the entire team and supported all of their efforts by providing resources for each member to succeed at the projects they love.
